Meaningful Photos-Purposeful & Fulfilled

Updated: Jul 12, 2023

If you have read any of my blog posts you know that I love photos. Today, I ran across an article that really struck a chord with me. (You can read it here)

It described an activity to do. It will take a week and each day you take a picture of something meaningful to you. It can be a person, a pet, a place, or an object. By the end of the week, you should have 9-12 pictures. Look at each picture and answer this question "What does this photo represent and why is it meaningful?"

Why would you want to do this? According to the article, Research has shown that finding a greater purpose to life helps us cope with stress and anxiety. An activity such as this can help us see the meaning and purpose in our life. A reminder of what matters most. Other benefits noted in the article are finding connection and meaning in our work or nature.

I am going to try it. How about you?

I think this would be a fun thing to do with kids, especially during the summer, when they have extra time. It would also be fun to do it yearly to see what changes.

I would love to hear if you try it and what you think.

Here is my first picture.
