SHARE YOUR MEMORIES! "One of the best ways to make yourself happy in the present is to recall happy times from the past. Photos are a great memory-prompt, and because we tend to take photos of happy occasions, they weight our memories to the good." (Gretchen Rubin)
I have a special place in my house where I display pictures of our ancestors. My husband is the oldest grandchild on both the maternal and paternal lines. I am the oldest grandchild on my maternal side. These pictures are very special to me because we have 4 and 5-generation pictures of ourselves. We have lost all our grandparents now, which makes this even more significant.
They chose me.
My ancestors
chose me to
tell their stories,
unravel their truths,
and learn from their hardships.
They chose me
to inspire and encourage
others with their stories.
They chose me
to keep their possessions,
to handle them with respect,
and share them with family.
My ancestors chose me.
